To calculate the welcome tax, it is necessary to base it on the higher value between the municipal assessment and the purchase price.

How long do you have to pay this tax?
Generally, you receive notification of payment between the third and sixth month following your visit to the notary.
The deadline varies depending on the city and the period when you note the transaction. Once the account is received, you have a maximum of 30 days to pay the balance. After this period, interest will be charged in addition.
